Old Time Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 cup flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 sticks of celery
    2 lb. stewing beef, cubed
    4 c. water
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 medium potatoes, cubed
    4 medium carrots, cubed
    1 c. turnips
Preparation
    Brown beef in a mixture of first 4 ingredients.
    Boil water and add browned beef, vinegar, bay leaf, Worcestershire, and onion.
    Cover and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Add potatoes, carrots, and turnips.
    Cook 20-25 minutes.
