Turnip Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. yellow turnips
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
    3 eggs
    1 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Pare and cut turnips into small slices.
    Boil until tender, drain and mash hot turnips, adding butter, sugar, salt and pepper. Beat with electric mixer until blended.
    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat until fluffy.
    Stir in bread crumbs and lemon juice. Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Cover and refrigerate until baking time.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
