Grandma Bradshaw'S Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour (plain)
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes or canned sweet potatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder.
    (If you use self-rising flour, leave out baking powder.)
    Add shortening and beat until smooth.
    Add the dry ingredients to the potato mixture alternately with the milk.
    Blend well.
