Cheese-Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 medium potatoes
    2 medium onions
    1/4 stick oleo
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    16 oz. Velveeta cheese
Preparation
    Peel and dice potatoes and onions.
    Place in saucepan and add enough water to completely cover by 1/2-inch.
    Bring to a slow boil and cook until done.
    Add butter and seasonings.
    If soup is thin, you can add a small amount of instant potatoes.
    When all is blended, add cheese, which has been cut in small pieces.
