Sausage Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground pork
    1/2 c. seasoned dried bread crumbs
    1 Tbsp. grated onion
    1 egg
    salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    pepper
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    In a large bowl, mix the pork, bread crumbs, onion, egg and salt.
    Shape into 1-inch meatballs.
    Melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
    Cook meatballs until well browned.
    Remove meatballs and put in bowl as they brown.
    Pour off all but 2 tablespoons drippings from skillet.
    Into remaining drippings, stir in flour, pepper and 1 teaspoon salt.
    Cook 1 minute.
    Gradually stir in milk and 1 cup water.
    Cook until mixture boils and thickens slightly, stirring constantly.
    Return meatballs to skillet.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce to low, cover and simmer 10 minutes.
    Makes 6 main dish servings.
