Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 sticks butter
    1 c. + 3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 c. crushed pretzels
    1 large pkg. cream cheese; softened
    1 8 oz. carton cool whip
    1 6 oz. pkg. strawberry gelatin
    2 10 oz. pkgs. frozen strawberries; thawed
Preparation
    Cream 3 Tbsp. sugar with butter.
    Add crushed pretzels, mix well.
    Then press into a 9x14 inch glass pan.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Cool completely. Combine cream cheese and 1 c. sugar until smooth.
    Fold in cool whip.
    Spread over cooled pretzel crust.
    Chill.
    Dissolve gelatin in 2 c. boiling water.
    Then add 1/2 c. cold water.
    Stir in strawberries.
    Chill until partly set. Spread over cream cheese layer.
    Return to refrigerator and chill until firm.
