Vanilla Or Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. boiling water
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
pinch of salt
1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice or 1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar and cornstarch; add boiling water and salt.
Boil, stirring constantly, until thick and clear.
Add butter and lemon juice (or vanilla).
For generous servings, double the recipe. Serves 6 to 8.
