Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. split green peas, washed
    2 qt. water
    ham bone
    2 medium onions, diced
    dash of black pepper
    4 celery stalks, diced
    2 to 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    5 carrots, diced
    2 bay leaves
    1 garlic clove or powder
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    If you don't have a ham bone, use leftover smoked butt.
