Butter "Stuff"(Herb Butter) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf French (sourdough, etc.) bread *
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. dill weed
    1/8 tsp. basil
    salt
    garlic
Preparation
    *Bread Baking Hint:
    When baking French, sourdough, etc., bread, put bread on the racks in oven uncovered.
    Fill a cup with about 1/4 cup water.
    Throw water onto bottom of oven (avoiding the bread) and close oven door quickly.
    This will give the bread a crunchier crust.
