Nettie Pearl'S Ground Nut Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. pure cane syrup
    4 c. shelled, roasted ground peanuts
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    In heavy pan, combine syrup, sugar and butter.
    Cook for 1/2 hour.
    Add ground peanuts and cook for 15 minutes longer, stirring constantly.
    Form into little cakes on buttered cookie sheet and let harden.
