Creole Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 lb.) chicken or pieces, cut up
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. butter, melted
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 medium green pepper, cut into strips
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 (40 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
Preparation
    Sprinkle chicken with paprika and salt.
    Brown chicken in butter in a skillet.
    Add remaining ingredients except mushrooms. Simmer until chicken is tender.
    Stir in mushrooms; simmer for 10 minutes.
    Serve with rice.
