Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
5 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk and 2 Tbsp. vinegar, mixed
12 oz. chocolate chips
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs; beat until light and fluffy.
Combine dry ingredients; add alternately with sour milk. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop onto ungreased cookie sheets by teaspoons.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Yields 6 to 8 dozen.
