Date Nut Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chopped dates
    1 lb. butter or margarine
    2 c. granulated sugar
    4 c. Rice Krispies
    2 c. chopped nuts
    4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt
    butter
    with
    sugar
    and
    dates.
    When sugar dissolves, cook slowly 10 minutes.
    Stir often.
    Remove from heat and add other ingredients.
    Let cool.
    Roll into small balls. Roll or shake
    in
    powdered sugar or coconut.
    Makes 12 dozen balls. Keeps well in a tight container.
    May be frozen.
