Ingredients

24 Oreos, crushed
1 lb. pitted dates, cut up
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. miniature marshmallows
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. heavy cream
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Spread cookie crumbs in a 9 x 12-inch baking dish.
In a saucepan, combine dates, water and salt; bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes.
Remove from heat; add marshmallows and stir until melted.
Cool at room temperature. Stir in nuts.
Spread mixture over crumbs.
Combine vanilla and cream; whip stiff.
Spread over dates.
Chill overnight.
Cut in squares to serve.
