Brer Rabbit Molasses Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Bran Buds
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. Brer Rabbit molasses
1 egg
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. seedless raisins
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine bran, milk, and molasses.
Let stand until most of moisture is absorbed.
Add egg and shortening.
Beat well.
Add raisins.
Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to softened mixture.
Put into greased muffin pans, 2/3 full.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes until lightly brown.
Makes 12 muffins.
