Tim'S Thunder Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, separated (blend in yolks; beat whites until they are stiff, then fold in)
1 c. water
1/3 c. pureed tomatoes
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients into creamy mixture.
Bake in 2 greased and floured pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Frost with chocolate butter frosting.
Top with strawberries.
