Christmas Stollen - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    3/4 c. warm water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. softened unsalted butter (or margarine)
    3 eggs
    1 egg yolk
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. chopped almonds
    1/4 c. chopped citron
    1/4 c. chopped candied cherries
    1/4 c. light raisins
    1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 3/4 cup of warm water.
    Add sugar, salt, butter, eggs and yolk, and 1 3/4 cups of flour.
    Beat 10 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer or by hand.
    Scrape bowl frequently.
    Stir in other 1 3/4 cups flour, and rest of ingredients.
    Cover, let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours.
    Beat 25 strokes.
    Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight.
