Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
2 c. scalded milk
3 egg whites
3 slightly beaten egg whites
Preparation

Mix the flour, 2/3 cup sugar and salt.
Gradually add milk. Cook in double boiler or on low heat until thick, stirring constantly.
Add small amount of hot mixture to beaten egg yolks. Stir into remaining hot mixture.
Cook for 2 minutes.
Cool.
Add butter and vanilla extract.
Pour into baked pie shell and spread with meringue made of egg whites and 6 tablespoons sugar.
