Red Hot Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium Granny Smith apples
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 oz. cinnamon hearts
Preparation
    Peel, core and quarter apples.
    Place apples, sugar, water and candies in a heavy saucepan.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook until apples are soft but still chunky.
    Cool.
    Serve cold or at room temperature.
