High-Top Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1/3 c. oil
    1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt and mix thoroughly.
    Make a well in center; pour in buttermilk, oil and egg.
    Immediately stir with fork just until dry ingredients are moistened (batter will be lumpy).
    Spoon into 6 greased 3 x 1 1/4-inch muffin cups (1/2 cup capacity), filling to the rim.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
    Serve hot.
    Makes 6 large muffins.
