Turtle Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    2/3 c. (small can) evaporated milk, divided
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
    6 oz. (1 c.) chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
    Set aside.
    In bowl combine remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk and dry cake mix. Press half of mixture in bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
    Sprinkle with 1 cup nuts and chocolate chips.
    Spread caramel mixture carefully over nuts and chocolate chips.
    Drop remaining cake mix by teaspoons over caramel and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
