Fruit Bowl With Sherry Dressing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (13 1/2 oz.) can pineapple chunks (in syrup)
1 egg
1 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. cream sherry
1/4 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1 pt. strawberries
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
2 bananas, sliced
lettuce leaves
Preparation

Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
In top of double boiler, beat egg with cornstarch and add 1/4 cup of syrup.
Whisk in sherry, salt, lemon juice and sugar.
Cook over hot water, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Remove from heat and cool. Fold in sour cream.
Wash and halve strawberries.
Mix with pineapple, orange segments and bananas.
Toss with dressing just before serving in a lettuce-lined bowl.
