Mushroom Puffs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 Tbsp. butter
3 to 4 garlic cloves
1 lb. fresh mushrooms
coarse black pepper
1 pkg. cream cheese (can use low-fat), room temperature
2 green onions, chopped
1 tsp. seasoned salt (Tony Chachere)
2 pkg. crescent rolls
1 large egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. poppy seed
Preparation

Saute mushrooms in olive oil and garlic.
Season with coarse black pepper and dash of Tony Chachere seasoning.
Set aside. Cream the softened cream cheese together with green onions and sauteed mushrooms.
Add seasoned salt, as needed.
Roll crescent rolls out in jelly roll fashion; fill with cream cheese mixture. Brush with egg and sprinkle with poppy seed.
Bake at 375\u00b0 until golden brown (10 to 20 minutes); slice into one-inch pieces and serve.
