Butter Cream Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 stick butter
    1/2 to 1 c. powdered sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald milk; set aside to cool.
    Beat shortening and butter until light and fluffy.
    Gradually add sugar; beat well. Gradually add cooled milk slowly, beating all the time.
    Add vanilla and beat until light and fluffy.
