Boiled Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. cold water
2 heaping Tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 pkg. raisins
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
scant tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Mix first 4 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil.
Boil 5 minutes and then cool.
And add to rest of ingredients.
Mix well.
Bake at 300\u00b0 until done.
