Frontier Hominy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 onions
    1 green pepper, chopped
    5 Tbsp. margarine, divided
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 large can yellow hominy, drained
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 c. scalded milk
    3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Preparation
    Saute onions and peppers in 3 tablespoons of margarine.
    Add beef and cook until pink disappears.
    Add hominy, chili powder and tomato sauce.
    Spoon into 2-quart casserole dish.
    Melt 2 tablespoons of margarine in a small pan.
    Stir with flour, milk and 1/2 cup cheese.
    Cook and stir constantly until cheese is melted.
    Pour over meat mixture.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes.
