Texas Hash - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 medium onion, sliced
1 small green pepper, minced
1/2 lb. ground beef (lean)
1 c. cooked tomatoes
1/3 c. rice (uncooked)
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
Preparation

Brown beef; drain.
When almost done add green pepper and onion; saute.
Mix in remaining ingredients.
Pour into baking dish, cover and bake one hour.
Yield: 2 servings.
Carbohydrate 38 g, protein 28 g, fat 8 g, calories 336.
One serving = 3 meat low-fat exchange, 2 bread starch exchange, 1 vegetable exchange.
