125 Year-Old Black Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs (room temperature)
    1 tsp. rum flavoring
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. black walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Grease tube pan.
    Cream together butter and shortening; mix in sugar well.
    Add one egg at a time.
    Add flavorings.
    Mix in flour, a little at a time.
    Mix well.
    Add milk and nuts.
    Mix all ingredients well.
    Pour into tube pan.
    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.
