Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. (slightly rounded) shortening
1 c. King syrup
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 c. hot water
2 Tbsp. molasses
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1/4 c. hot water
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0. Make crumbs of first 3 ingredients. Save 1/2 cup for top of pie. Mix all ingredients together, including liquids, crumbs, etc. Fill pie pan. Put the 1/2 cup of crumbs on top. Bake at 350\u00b0 less than 1 hour. Test center after 45 minutes...trial and error. Center should be \"set\" when done.
