Five-Hour Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round beef steak
    2 (8 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 large red potatoes, peeled and cut into eighths
    1 slice white bread with crusts, cubed
    6 carrots, cut in 1-inch pieces
    1 c. coarsely chopped celery
    1/2 medium-sized green pepper, chopped
    1 medium-sized onion, chopped
    1/4 lb. cheese, cubed
Preparation
    Trim excess fat from meat.
    Cut meat in pieces about 1 inch square.
    Combine all ingredients in Dutch oven, mixing thoroughly.
