Sunshine Cake(Orville Wright'S Favorite) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

5 egg yolks (1/3 to 3/8 c.)
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sifted cake flour
2 Tbsp. cold water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
8 egg whites (1 c.)
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Preparation

Beat the egg yolks until thick (at least 5 minutes).
Beat in gradually the 1/2 cup sugar.
Beat in 1 cup sifted cake flour alternately with cold water, vanilla, almond and lemon extract.
