Ingredients

1 gal. blackberry juice
4 lb. sugar
2 oz. ground nutmeg
1 oz. ground allspice
2 oz. ground cinnamon
1 oz. ground cloves
2 qt. French brandy
Preparation

Combine juice with spices and sugar and cook until mixture begins to thicken, about 30 minutes.
Cool.
Add brandy and bottle and cork at once.
Makes just over 4 quarts.
