Lemon Sauce For Homestyle Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. each grated lemon rind and salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Combine water, sugar and cornstarch in a heavy saucepan.
    Bring to a boil and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
    Remove sauce from heat; stir in butter, lemon rind, juice and salt.
    Makes 9 servings.
