Pulled Molasses Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. water
    butter (size of walnut)
Preparation
    Cook all ingredients together until brittle when tried in cold water.
    Remove from range and add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Do not stir, but turn at once onto a large greased pan.
    As soon as cool enough to handle, pull without squeezing.
    Cut in small pieces.
