Cantaloupe Parfait - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 basket strawberries, cut in halves
    1 large cantaloupe, cut into balls
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    1/2 c. clover honey
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. rum or 1/2 tsp. rum extract
    6 sprigs mint
Preparation
    Alternate layers of strawberries and melon balls in 6 parfait glasses.
    Chill.
    Boil together sugar and water until the syrup spins a thread (230\u00b0).
    Stir in honey, cinnamon and rum.
    Cool and pour about 2 tablespoons over the fruit in each parfait glass. Decorate with mint sprigs.
    Makes 6 servings.
