Cottage Pudding(For Over Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    2 level Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook to clear syrup and remove from heat. Add dollop of butter (about 1/4 cup) and 1 teaspoon vanilla or lemon extract and stir in rapidly. Serve over cake or gingerbread.
