Pumpkin Pound Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. shortening
3 eggs, beaten
1 can pumpkin
1 Tbsp. vanilla
3 c. sugar
3 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 stick margarine, softened
2 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
Preparation

Cream together shortening, eggs, pumpkin, and 1 Tbsp. vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Pour into a greased 10 inch tube pan. bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour & 15 minutes. Frost with cream cheese frosting. Make frosting by beating together cream cheese, margarine, vanilla an powdered sugar. spread on cooled cake.
