The Real Old Fashion Italian Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

6 eggs
1 c. Crisco
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
6 drops anise or almond flavoring
1/2 c. milk
5 to 6 c. flour
9 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Mix together all the ingredients.
Shape dough into \"S's\" or make small braids.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown for about 8 minutes. Add glazed icing.
Mix confectioners sugar, water and flavoring of almond or anise to paste consistency.
Put on tops.
Can add sprinkles (optional).
