Mother'S Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. nuts (pecans or walnuts), chopped
    1 c. coconut
    1 c. blackberry jam
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and butter, then add 2 eggs and buttermilk.
    Add flour, soda and baking powder, then mix.
    Add raisins, nuts, coconut, blackberry jam and vanilla.
    Bake in 3 layers in round cake pans that have been greased with shortening and sifted with flour.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
