Chinese Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    2 well beaten eggs
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix all the ingredients together and pour into a 9-inch square pan.
    Bake for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    While still warm, cut into squares and roll in powdered sugar.
    The cookies will look unbrowned.
    Do not bake any longer.
