Freezer Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. shredded cabbage
    1/2 c. shredded green pepper
    2 1/2 Tbsp. canned pimento
    2 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 c. thinly sliced celery
Preparation
    Soak cabbage, green pepper and pimento in the water and salt. Leave for 1/2 hour. Bring to boil sugar, vinegar, water and mustard seed to make a syrup; cool. Drain cabbage; add celery and combine with syrup. Refrigerate at least 24 hours before serving. Keeps in refrigerator for 2 weeks or can be frozen.
