Nanny'S Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. potatoes, peeled and quartered
    6 cans chicken broth
    1 stick sweet butter
    1 pt. half and half
    2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
    1 lb. smoked sausage, thinly sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil potatoes in chicken broth.
    When potatoes are soft, reduce heat to low and add butter, half and half and parsley. Cook and drain summer sausage; add to soup.
    Serve with green salad and crusty, hot French bread.
