Sparkling Gingersnaps(Ruth'S) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    3/4 c. butter/margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. Gold label molasses
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream the butter and sugar.
    Add egg and molasses.
    Add all dry ingredients; mix well. Blend in raisins. Chill if desired for easier handling.
    Shape into balls and dip in sugar.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet, sugar side up. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 9 to 12 minutes.
