Apple Fritters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. milk
1 egg
2 Tbsp. margarine
grated rind and juice from 1/2 orange
1/2 c. chopped apples (skins may be left on)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. cake flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Combine in a bowl 1/2 cup milk, egg and margarine.
Add grated rind and juice of 1/2 orange, chopped apples and vanilla.
Sift together cake flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
Stir in milk mixture with a spoon until blended.
Drop batter by spoonfuls into 1/2 inch hot oil.
Fry to a golden brown.
Drain.
