Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    6 eggs, separated (save whites)
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda (add salt and soda to flour)
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream Crisco and sugar; beat well.
    Add one egg yolk at a time.
    Beat well after each egg.
    Add milk and flour.
    Add about 1/3 of each at a time.
    Beat well after adding each one.
    Begin with flour and end with flour.
    Add vanilla; beat well.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Fold into mixture.
    Bake in tube pan, greased and floured, in oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
