Golden Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (1 lb.) cans sliced peaches
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/4 rounded tsp. nutmeg
    dash of salt
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. shredded orange peel
    1/8 to 1/4 tsp. almond extract
    Pastry for 9-inch pie
Preparation
    Drain peaches, reserving 1/2 c. of the syrup (you should have about 2-2/3 c. peaches).
    Combine sugar, flour, nutmeg and salt. Add reserved syrup.
    Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
