Ham And Fruit Strata - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. cubed firm bread
    4 oz. cubed fully cooked ham (3/4 c.)
    1 (8 oz.) can pear halves, drained and chopped
    1/2 c. shredded cheese (2 oz.)
    3 slightly beaten eggs
    1 1/2 c. skim milk
    1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation
    In an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish, layer bread, ham, chopped pears and shredded cheese.
    Combine eggs, milk and nutmeg and pour evenly into dish.
    Cover and chill 4 to 24 hours.
    Bake, uncovered, at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until center is set and golden top.
    Cool 10 minutes before cutting.
    Garnish with additional pears.
    Makes 4 servings.
