Chewy Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. flour
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. quick oatmeal
1 c. raisins

Preparation

Combine first five ingredients; stir.
In large bowl, beat shortening, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla.
To this, add the dry ingredients and mix well.
Stir in the oatmeal and raisins; drop from spoon onto buttered tin and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
