No Mess Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. spaghetti sauce
    12 oz. raw lasagna noodles
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef, uncooked
    1 c. minced onion
    1 (12 oz.) carton cottage cheese
    8 slices American cheese
    8 oz. grated Mozzarella cheese
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Pour 1 1/2 cups of spaghetti sauce into a 9 x 12-inch lasagna pan.
    Add a layer of raw noodles.
    Add 1/2 of the meat in small chunks.
    Sprinkle with onion and spoon on the cottage cheese. Cover with 1 1/2 cups of sauce, then a layer of noodles.
    Layer the sliced American cheese and rest of meat in small pieces.
    Pour on 2 cups sauce.
    Press down.
    Pour hot water gently over top.
    Press down again.
    Cover with foil.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0.
    Remove foil.
    Cover with Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
    Bake uncovered another 15 to 20 minutes.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Serves 12.
