Seafood Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 large onion, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
3 potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 lb. frozen cod, haddock or sole fillets, cut into 1-inch cubes
Preparation

In a large pot, saute onion, celery and potatoes in butter over low heat until onion is softened.
Add remaining ingredients, except fish.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Add fish and simmer for 15 minutes more.
Be sure to remove bay leaf before serving.
Yield:
About 2 quarts or 8 to 12 servings.
